Dillavaird is a palisaded homestead and souterrain located approximately 450 metres east of Dillavaird in Angus, Scotland. The site dates to the Iron Age and represents a form of settlement typical of that period in eastern Scotland. The homestead comprises a palisaded enclosure, a defensive feature common to Iron Age domestic settlements, within which an underground stone-built chamber or souterrain was constructed. Such souterrains served various functions including storage, refuge, or ritual purposes, and their presence alongside surface dwellings indicates the complexity and investment characteristic of Iron Age settlement patterns in the region.
