Action, Grand Coteau, Bayou Bourbeau, Carrion Crow Bayou, Buzzard's Prairie. was a Civil War engagement fought in Louisiana, July 13 and 14, 1851.
Fought during the American Civil War in southwestern Louisiana just west of Grand Coteau, this engagement is remembered under several names: the Battle of Bayou Bourbeux, the Battle of Grand Coteau, the Battle of Boggy Creek, and the Battle of Carrion Crow Bayou. That last title refers to what is now known as Carencro Bayou.
