Action, Moore's Mills near Fulton was a Civil War engagement fought in Missouri, 1862.
On July 28, 1862, Union and Confederate forces clashed at Moore's Mill in central Missouri, fighting along Auxvasse Creek near what is now Calwood. Together with the fighting at Kirksville a week afterward and the later clash at Compton's Ferry, this action helped push the principal Confederate recruiters out of the state's northern reaches. In 2015, the site of the battle earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
