Battle of Coamo was a Indian Wars and Frontier Conflicts engagement fought in PR, 1898. It was a United States victory.

One of the more significant land engagements of the Puerto Rico campaign. A flanking movement successfully cut off the Spanish garrison's retreat, resulting in a rare case of large-scale capture rather than withdrawal. Occurred on August 9, 1898, just before the armistice of August 12.
