Biography
Abraham Baldwin was born in Guilford, Connecticut in 1754 and died in 1807. He graduated from Yale College in 1772, became a lawyer following the Revolutionary War, and moved to Georgia in the mid-1780s where he founded the University of Georgia. He signed the United States Constitution and was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati.
