Adriana Caselotti was born on May 6, 1916, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and died on January 18, 1997. She worked as an opera singer, actress, and voice actor. Caselotti provided the voice of Snow White in Walt Disney's animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, released in 1937. In 1994, she was named a Disney Legend, becoming the first female voice-over artist to receive this designation.
