Biography
Blake Edwards was born on July 26, 1922, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and worked as a filmmaker, producer, and screenwriter. He directed comedies as well as drama, musical, and detective films. Late in his career, he wrote, produced, and directed for theater. He received an Honorary Academy Award in recognition of his writing, directing, and producing for the screen. He died on December 15, 2010.
