Biography
Carl Levin was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1934 and worked as an attorney and politician. He served as a United States senator from Michigan between 1979 and 2015 as a member of the Democratic Party. He chaired the Senate Armed Services Committee from 2001 to 2003 and again from 2007 to 2015. He died in 2021.
