He worked as an actor, director, and football player, appearing in films including the first four Rocky films as boxer Apollo Creed, Predator as Colonel Al Dillon, Happy Gilmore as Chubbs Peterson, Action Jackson, and the Toy Story franchise as Combat Carl. On television, he portrayed Det. Beaudreaux in Street Justice, a fictionalized version of himself in Arrested Development, voiced Omnitraxus Prime in Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and had a recurring role as Greef Karga in The Mandalorian, for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
