Biography
George Peppard was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 1, 1928, and died on May 8, 1994. He worked as a film, television, and stage actor, as well as a film producer and director. Peppard starred as Paul Varjak opposite Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) and later played a character based on Howard Hughes in The Carpetbaggers (1964). On television, he took the title role in the early-1970s series Banacek as a millionaire insurance investigator and played Col. John "Hannibal" Smith in the 1980s action series The A-Team.
