Biography
James David Van Der Beek was born in Cheshire, Connecticut in 1977 and worked as a television, film, and stage actor as well as a screenwriter. He played Dawson Leery on The WB's Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2003, and later appeared in Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 on ABC from 2012 to 2013 as a fictionalized version of himself. He also took roles as FBI agent Elijah Mundo on CSI: Cyber from 2015 to 2016 and as Matt Bromley in the first season of the FX drama Pose in 2018.
