John Kitzmiller was born in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1913 and worked as a film actor in the United States, Italy, and the United Kingdom. He appeared in approximately 40 European films and won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor in 1957 for his performance in the Slovenian film Valley of Peace. He played Quarrel in Dr. No, the first James Bond film produced by EON. Kitzmiller died in 1965.
