K.C. Jones was born on May 25, 1932, in Taylor, Texas. He was a professional basketball player and coach who played for the Boston Celtics and won 11 of his 12 NBA championships with them. As a player, he compiled an 8–0 record in NBA Finals series and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1989. He died on December 25, 2020.
