Biography
Lizzie Borden was tried and acquitted of axe murders that occurred on August 4, 1892, in Fall River, Massachusetts; the victims were her father and stepmother. No one else was charged in connection with the killings. She remained in Fall River for the rest of her life and died of pneumonia in 1927, nine days before her older sister Emma.
