Biography

Mike Todd was born in Minneapolis in June 1909 and worked as a television producer, film producer, and soda jerk. He produced the 1956 film Around the World in 80 Days, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. He was married to actress Elizabeth Taylor, his third wife, and he was the only one of her seven husbands whom she did not divorce. Todd died in a private plane accident in March 1958, a year after their marriage.
