Morris Marshall Kirksey was born in Waxahachie, Texas, on September 13, 1895, and died on November 25, 1981. He competed as a track and field athlete and rugby union footballer, winning two gold medals at the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was one of the few athletes to win gold medals in two different Olympic sports.
