Biography

Rachel Corrie was born in Olympia, Washington in 1979 and worked as a diarist, writer, and nonviolence activist. She was a member of the International Solidarity Movement and was active in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories. In March 2003, while protesting the demolition of Palestinian houses in Rafah, Gaza Strip, she was killed by an Israeli armored bulldozer.
