Biography

Sam Jones was born in Wilmington, North Carolina in 1933 and died in 2021. He played as a shooting guard for the Boston Celtics in the NBA and was a five-time All-Star. Jones won ten NBA championships, the second-highest total of any player, and was one of three Celtics to participate in each of the team's eight consecutive championships between 1959 and 1966. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and also worked as a basketball coach.
