Trini Lopez was born in Dallas, Texas in 1937 and died in 2020. An American singer and guitarist, he recorded a cover of Pete Seeger's "If I Had a Hammer" on his first album that earned a gold disc. His other recordings included "Lemon Tree", "I'm Comin' Home, Cindy" and "Sally Was a Good Old Girl". He designed two guitars for Gibson Guitar Corporation that became collector's items.
