Biography

Warren William was born in Aitkin, Minnesota, on December 2, 1894, and worked as a stage and film actor. He achieved stardom in Hollywood during the early 1930s and became known as the "King of Pre-Code," playing cunning and often-amoral leading men in early sound films. He was the first actor to portray the fictional lawyer Perry Mason. He died on September 24, 1948.
