5 Dalsetter Wynd is a post-medieval settlement and associated field system located approximately 60 metres north of the designated reference point in Shetland, Scotland. The site represents a period of agricultural settlement and land organisation typical of early modern Shetland, when crofting communities structured their holdings around individual steadings and their surrounding cultivated and pastoral fields. The physical remains comprise the settlement structures and the relict field boundaries that define the extent and character of the post-medieval agrarian landscape in this locality. This archaeological site provides evidence of the established patterns of habitation and land use that characterised Shetland's rural communities during the post-medieval period.
