A 350m length of reave on Hingston Hill, 470m NNW of Combshead Tor, is a Bronze Age field boundary system surviving as an upstanding earthwork on Dartmoor. Reaves are characteristic features of later Bronze Age agricultural landscapes, typically dating between the second and first millennia BC, and this example represents the planned subdivision of moorland for pastoral and arable farming. The monument consists of a substantial linear stone bank constructed from granite rubble, which forms part of the wider network of reave systems documented across Dartmoor's high moorland. The site's survival and extent contribute to understanding prehistoric land management and social organisation during the Bronze Age period on the southwestern moors.
