This complex of prehistoric monuments southwest of Great Trowlesworthy Tor is a Bronze Age site comprising a stone alignment, a kerbed cairn, and evidence of settlement activity, alongside later medieval or post-medieval agricultural features including four pillow mounds, a vermin trap, and associated animal runs. The stone alignment and cairn represent characteristic ritual and funerary practices of the Bronze Age period on Dartmoor, whilst the settlement evidence indicates sustained occupation and land use during prehistory. The later pillow mounds, constructed as rabbit warrens or similar enclosed structures, demonstrate the site's continued use for resource management into the medieval and early modern periods. The remains collectively illustrate the layered archaeological significance of this upland location across multiple millennia.
