Achinduich hut circle is a Bronze Age or Iron Age domestic structure located approximately 900 metres south of Lairg in Sutherland, in the Scottish Highlands. The site consists of a circular or sub-circular depression representing the remains of a prehistoric roundhouse, typical of domestic settlements in northern Scotland during the late second and first millennia BC. Such hut circles are archaeological evidence of semi-permanent or permanent settlement patterns in the upland regions of Scotland before the development of later medieval settlement forms. The site is recorded within the Historic Environment Record and contributes to understanding prehistoric land use and habitation in the far north of mainland Britain.
