Achvraid hut circles, located in Inverness-shire at approximately 1030 metres south-south-east of Achvraid, represent a Bronze Age or Iron Age settlement. The site comprises a grouping of circular or sub-circular stone-built structures typical of prehistoric domestic occupation in the Scottish Highlands. These hut circles evidence the adaptation of upland communities to moorland environments during periods of prehistoric settlement expansion. The remains survive as low stone foundations and turf-covered mounds, providing archaeological evidence of pre-Roman settlement patterns in northern Scotland.
