The Antonine Wall at New Kilpatrick Cemetery to field boundary south of Boclair is a segment of the Roman frontier fortification constructed during the reign of Antoninus Pius in the second century AD. This earthwork represents part of the turf and stone wall system that extended across central Scotland from the Firth of Forth to the Firth of Clyde, positioned approximately 160 kilometres north of Hadrian's Wall. The monument survives as a linear earthwork comprising a ditch on the north side and a rampart to the south, characteristic of the wall's construction technique. This section near New Kilpatrick in Stirlingshire remains an important archaeological resource for understanding Roman military engineering and the northern extent of Roman Britain.
