Berry Castle is a univallate hillfort located near Colyton in East Devon. The site dates to the Iron Age and comprises a single defensive bank with an external ditch enclosing an irregular polygonal area of approximately two hectares. The earthwork remains largely well-preserved, though its interior has been subject to agricultural use over many centuries. Like other hillforts of south-western England, Berry Castle likely served as a defended settlement and territorial marker during the later prehistoric period.
