Bignor Roman Villa is a substantial Roman country house situated in West Sussex, England, dating to the second and third centuries AD. The villa represents a significant example of Romano-British domestic architecture and wealth, comprising multiple ranges of buildings arranged around courtyards in a corridor villa plan typical of high-status rural settlements. Excavations have revealed mosaics, hypocausts, and other evidence of considerable investment in both decoration and comfort, indicating the villa served as the residence of a prosperous landowner engaged in agricultural exploitation of the surrounding countryside. The site remains one of the most important archaeological records of Roman elite habitation in southern Britain, preserved as an open-air museum displaying in situ remains of the principal structures.
