Blake Muir is a platform settlement located in Peeblesshire, Scotland, dating to the Iron Age. The site consists of a levelled platform cut into the hillside, a characteristic feature of settlements from this period in the Scottish Borders region. Such platform settlements represent domestic occupation sites where the ground was artificially prepared to create a level surface for habitation, typically associated with single or small family groups. The survival of Blake Muir's earthwork demonstrates the settlement patterns of Iron Age communities in the Tweed Valley and contributes to understanding of prehistoric land use in the region.
