The Mound is a bowl barrow situated approximately 700 metres north east of Stradsett Hall in Norfolk, England. The monument dates to the Bronze Age and represents a funerary tradition characteristic of the second millennium BCE, when such earthen mounds were constructed as burial monuments for prominent individuals or family groups. Bowl barrows of this type are among the most common form of prehistoric burial monument in Norfolk and across southern Britain, typically featuring a circular raised mound with a surrounding ditch from which material was extracted for the mound's construction. The Mound survives as an upstanding earthwork and forms part of Norfolk's significant Bronze Age archaeological heritage.
