Bratoft Hall moated site is a medieval settlement earthwork located approximately 550 metres north of Manor Farm in Lincolnshire. The site consists of a substantial moated enclosure, a characteristic defensive and status-bearing feature of medieval manorial settlements dating from the twelfth to sixteenth centuries. The moat survives as a clearly defined ditch surrounding the former hall platform, indicating the presence of a significant residence within the enclosed area during the medieval period. As a scheduled ancient monument, the site represents an important example of the physical remains of a medieval elite household and its associated landscape.
