The Bronze Age enclosure and two bowl barrows 520 metres north east of Moll Harris's Clump on Idmiston Down is a scheduled ancient monument consisting of a circular earthwork enclosure with associated funerary monuments dating to the Bronze Age. The site comprises a substantial ditch-defined enclosure of unknown functional purpose alongside two bowl barrows, which are characteristic burial mounds of the Bronze Age period. The monument group lies within the intensively used ritual and burial landscape of the Stonehenge environs on Salisbury Plain, where such clusters of Bronze Age features represent sustained use of the chalk downland for ceremonial and mortuary purposes. The earthwork remains survive as surface features on the open downland, forming part of the archaeological record documenting Bronze Age settlement and burial practices in this nationally significant archaeological zone.
