Brownies Knowe is a Bronze Age stone circle situated 400 metres west-north-west of Rosemount in Perthshire, Scotland. The monument stands upon bedrock of the Arbuttnott-Garvock Group, Pragian sandstones interbedded with conglomerate, siltstone and mudstone that form the local geological foundation. This landscape, typical of central Perthshire's ancient uplands, provided readily workable stone for the circle's construction.
The site comprises a stone circle of typical Bronze Age form, accompanied by a cup-marked stone. Cup-marked stones, bearing the distinctive circular depressions created by repeated percussion, are a recognised feature of prehistoric monuments in this region, often interpreted as having ceremonial or territorial significance.
