Brownrigg North tower 21b is a Roman coastal defence tower forming part of the second-century AD frontier installations along the Cumbrian coast. Located approximately 830 metres north-west of Canonby Hall in Cumberland, the structure represents one of a series of fortified positions constructed to monitor and control maritime access during the Roman occupation of Britain. The tower dates to the period of Roman military consolidation in northern Britain, when such coastal defences supplemented the principal land-based fortifications. The site is protected as a scheduled ancient monument under the National Heritage List for England designation 1014811.
