Burscough Augustinian Priory is a medieval religious house founded in the twelfth century in Lancashire, established as a house of Augustinian canons. The priory occupied a significant position within the network of Augustinian communities in north-west England and would have played an important role in the spiritual and economic life of the surrounding region during the medieval period. Today the site comprises substantial remains that testify to its former importance, including fragments of the priory buildings that survive as archaeological evidence of its architectural character and extent.
