Carn Ban is a Neolithic chambered cairn located on the Isle of Arran in Bute, Scotland. The monument dates to the Neolithic period and belongs to the tradition of megalithic burial construction characteristic of early farming communities in Atlantic Scotland. The cairn comprises a stone-built chamber covered by a substantial mound of stones, a construction type that served communal burial purposes and reflected the monumental investment of Neolithic societies in their dead.
