Carne Beacon is a round barrow situated approximately 320 metres north of Carne Farm in Cornwall. The monument dates to the Bronze Age and represents the funerary practice of inhumation burial beneath an earthen mound characteristic of that period. The barrow survives as a substantial earthwork, retaining its diagnostic circular form, and contributes to the wider Bronze Age burial landscape of the Cornish peninsula. Such monuments are of considerable archaeological significance as indicators of settlement patterns, social organisation, and ritual practice during the second millennium BC.
