Carradale Fort is an Iron Age fortified settlement located on the eastern shore of the Kintyre peninsula overlooking Kilbrannan Sound in Argyllshire. The fort comprises a substantial dun or broch-like structure dating to the Iron Age period, representing an important example of defensive architecture from this era in the Clyde region. The site occupies a naturally strong position commanding views across the sound and demonstrates the strategic importance of controlling maritime approaches to the western Scottish coast during the Iron Age. Archaeological investigation and topographical survey have identified the remains of stone walls and structural elements consistent with Iron Age settlement patterns in Argyll.
