Carsluith Castle is a 15th-century stronghold situated in Kirkcudbrightshire in southwestern Scotland. The castle consists of a substantial rectangular tower house with adjoining structures, typical of defensive residences constructed during the late medieval period in the Scottish borders and southwest. Built by the McCulloch family, the castle served as a fortified domestic seat and reflects the architectural conventions of its era, with thick stone walls designed to withstand both siege and raid.
