Cashel is a medieval ecclesiastical site located in the townland of Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The monument comprises the remains of an early Christian settlement, representative of the monastic establishments that characterised Irish religious life from the early medieval period onwards. The site's archaeological significance lies in its evidence of settlement patterns and religious activity typical of such cashels, which were often fortified enclosures serving monastic communities.
