Castle Hills is a motte and bailey castle situated approximately 700 metres north-east of St Mary and All Saint's Church in Warwickshire. The monument comprises a substantial earthwork consisting of a motte, or artificial mound, with an associated bailey, or fortified enclosure, typical of Norman defensive architecture of the eleventh and twelfth centuries. The site represents an important example of early medieval fortification in the region, constructed during the period following the Norman Conquest when such castles served as centres of military control and territorial administration.
