College Plantation long barrow and round barrows is a Neolithic and Bronze Age burial monument complex located in Gloucestershire. The site comprises a long barrow of Neolithic date, characteristic of the early farming communities of the fourth and third millennia BCE, alongside later round barrows of Bronze Age construction which reflect the ritual and burial practices of the second millennium BCE. The long barrow represents an important marker of the early colonization of the Cotswolds region and demonstrates the continuity of ritual practice across these two major prehistoric periods. The survival of both monument types at a single location provides valuable archaeological evidence for understanding changes in burial custom and social organization across the Neolithic and Bronze Age transition.
