Colpy Cottage palisaded enclosure is a Post-Medieval defensive structure located approximately three hundred metres south of Colpy Cottage in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The site consists of a palisaded enclosure, a fortification type constructed using wooden stakes or timber fencing, which represents a form of settlement defence characteristic of the Post-Medieval period in northern Scotland. Such palisaded enclosures served both defensive and administrative purposes, often associated with the control of territory or protection of valuable resources during a period of considerable social instability in the region.
