Dùn aig Rubha Guail is a dun situated on the Rubha Guail promontory in Inverness-shire, Scotland. The monument occupies a naturally defensible position on bedrock formed from the Sleat Group, a Neoproterozoic sequence of sandstone, mudstone, siltstone and conglomerate. This geological foundation provided a stable base for construction, whilst the promontory itself offered commanding views and natural protection from at least three sides, a characteristic advantage of dun siting in the Scottish Highlands.
