Decoy Wood decoy pond is a seventeenth-century wildfowl trap located in Lincolnshire. The site comprises an artificial pond system designed to capture wild ducks and other waterfowl through deceptive channels and concealed structures characteristic of the decoy pond tradition that flourished in England from the seventeenth century onwards. Such installations were important sources of fresh game for aristocratic households and provided commercial enterprise for their operators. The monument survives as a scheduled ancient monument, preserving evidence of early modern hunting technology and landscape management.
