History & significance

Deserted medieval settlement at Filgrave is a scheduled ancient monument representing the remains of a medieval rural settlement located immediately west of Rectory Farm in Buckinghamshire. The site comprises earthwork features characteristic of abandoned medieval habitation, including ridge and furrow cultivation patterns and settlement traces that evidence the organisation of medieval agricultural and domestic life.
