Dieu-la-Cres Abbey is a medieval Cistercian foundation located in Staffordshire, England. The abbey was established in the twelfth century as a daughter house of the Cistercian order, reflecting the widespread monastic expansion of the period. The surviving remains are fragmentary, comprising stone foundations and architectural elements that testify to the abbey's former presence and religious significance. Like many English monastic houses, Dieu-la-Cres declined and was abandoned following the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the sixteenth century, leaving only these modest but archaeologically informative vestiges.
