Dovecote at The Manor is a medieval stone-built dovecote located in Wiltshire. The structure dates from the medieval period and represents the type of agricultural building associated with manorial estates, where the keeping of pigeons was a valuable resource controlled by the landowner. The dovecote would have housed numerous birds whose droppings provided precious fertiliser and whose meat supplied protein to the manor house. The building survives as a testament to medieval husbandry practices and the hierarchical control of resources within the feudal system.
