Dunbeg Fort is an Iron Age fortification located approximately 700 metres west of Fintry Bridge in Stirlingshire, Scotland. The site comprises a univallate or multivallate defensive enclosure typical of Iron Age settlement patterns in central Scotland, with earthwork ramparts and ditches designed to enclose and protect a domestic settlement. The fort's construction and occupation are consistent with the later Iron Age period, representing an important example of prehistoric fortified settlement in the region. Such fortified homesteads served as centres of local authority and defended refuges for communities engaged in mixed agriculture during the final centuries before the Roman occupation of Britain.
