Ffestiniog Railway: relict sections south of Tanygrisiau is a narrow-gauge railway monument of nineteenth-century industrial origin, located within Conwy county in North Wales. The surviving sections represent part of the historic Ffestiniog Railway, which operated from the 1830s onwards as a slate transport line connecting the quarries of the Ffestiniog Valley to the coast at Porthmadog. The relict sections preserved south of Tanygrisiau retain physical evidence of the railway's infrastructure, including trackbed and associated earthworks, documenting the engineering methods employed in constructing this important mineral railway.
